👍 這次從竹22入口上爬，入口旁邊有涼亭及地圖，一路到景觀涼亭都是水泥柏油路面的上坡，到涼亭取右方路線，可以看到變石板路，再一路上爬到和石頭坑山的岔路後就開始下坡，後段都是泥土和鵝卵石路面，下到小鐵網橋後，二側是竹林和果園，這邊泥土路較小，看到民宅後取左方經菜園，再走一小段可到另一端的入口處。

👍👍 視野超棒的郊山！從田寮國王宮起爬，單趟攻頂將近3公里，約走1.5小時，沿途一路上坡，不時回頭可見竹東市區風景。最後一小段是私人土地，可能遇到地主要打聲招呼唷。山頂是一個木頭山飛行傘起飛場，旁邊有木棧景觀台可休息欣賞美景！

👍 很早就想走訪茶亭古道，可是一直找不到登山口在哪裡。
去年12月中旬，一位老同學分享前往茶亭古道的照片，請教老友之後才知道登山口不是剛剛好位在竹34線的道路邊，而是略為偏往上一些些的民宅旁邊。
2018.12.22帶著興奮的心情，終於如願圓夢。
