😠 We've been at Schmatz Shinagawa, and it was bad. We gave Schmatz Nakameguro another try, and the food was awful. Schmatz gives German food a bad name. Do not eat here. The beer is ok, because it comes in bottles, and they can't ruin it.

👍👍 I have only beer here a few times but the staff was always nice and the food is great. There is always this tall guy screaming about politics but he is actually kind of nice and if you befriend him you can go to the back to store away your beer cans!
Choice of beers is great and the desserts BANG!

Coming from NZ, where they take IPA matters quite seriously (is a national thing), this bar delivers right up there. No english is spoken but a little bit is enough to get to the right serious Jap...

👍👍 If you are not introduced to this cozy restaurant, probably you won’t even notice. It’s in basement.
“Coffee and curry” is the official sign, but they do serve good drinks and snack to go with drinks.
I had a Tacos and they served it very well. I had baked curry - yes, “baked” curry…. Obviously...
