👍👍 Torre della Palata was builtin 1254 as the tower that defended Gate of San Giovanni. It survived the siege of 1311. Clock were added in 1461. Fountain was added in 1597. This tower is the only survived part of the medieval city walls. Tower was closed for the public during my visit in 2016.
