😐 It is a beautiful town on the coast side. But this cerviches mixtos stand ruin my whole mood here because they take foreigners as stupid tourist and try to fraud out their money by lying. Odio mitiroso

Reserva Natural Atitlán
Nature preserve
👍 Q80 for the basic entrance which includes the paths, bridges, butterfly dome, waterfall, beach. I think it's well worth it and a very beautiful area!
The only downside is there's a lot of trash around the river and at the base of the waterfall, it would be great if that could be better maintained.

👍👍 Beautiful place, we went with a bird watching guide and observed 5 Quetzals, several Tucans, 2 Crested Guan, and other birds. 👍👍 The food is amazing and the stuff is really lovely! There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Loved the concept as well, nice way to integrate only local ingredients into the modern kitchen. Had a great time!

Lake Atitlan

👍👍 National Geographic got it right when they said this was one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. It's surrounded by volcanoes and little islands you can get to by boat. If you're lucky and get a private boat, make sure to ask your captain to take you to the hotspring for a dip in the lake as w...

Parque Central de Santiago Atitlán
Park
👍 Santiago is a good place to go and learn about the local culture. it’s right in the middle of volcanos so the weather can easily change from rain to sunny in a matter of minutes. Loved waking up to the sounds of about 15 different kinds of birds singing every morning.

👍 Zip lines are great (ultra extreme), the evolutionary diatribe should be ignored. God created all of it in 6 six days and what we see today was reformed after the flood and volcanic eruptions.
