👍👍 Probably the newest/cleanest of the free onsens in town. Onsen temp was more bearable/less scalding hot than others so that was a big plus for me. Going late is even better since you (mostly) get the place to yourself. (stayed there past 'closing time' and there were people coming in)

スキーシーズンは外国人観光客だらけであるが、オフシーズンになると静かでのんびりした温泉街に戻る。
北陸新幹線飯山駅開業の恩恵を受け、首都圏や北陸からのアクセスが向上したのだが、いまいち日本人の観光客が増えないのが残念でならない。
とにかく熱すぎる温泉が売りでもある。

👍👍 野沢温泉のシンボルの湯釜です。結構端っこの方にあるので宿によってはちょっと歩くかも。下からお湯がポコポコ湧いて自然を感じます✨ちょうど野菜を茹でてる地元の方に温度を聞いたら90℃との事💧確かに立ち入り禁止ですね💧
